Please be advised, Atlanta Gas Light is working to improve natural gas services in Douglas County with an upgrade to its pipeline system. The project involves the installation of a few miles of new natural gas pipeline beginning on High Point Road east of Stockmar Road and then following the road before turning south on Villa Rica Highway/Hwy 61 and continuing into Carroll County. The project is already underway in Villa Rica, and work in Douglas County will begin in mid-August.
The hours of operation are Monday – Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., or as permitted. Drivers can expect minor delays due to construction along the project route for the safety of the community and crews, but not all areas of the corridor will be affected at the same time.
