The 2026 Citizens Academy application is now available!
Citizens Academy is a 10-week interactive program that provides Douglas County residents with a deeper, more nuanced understanding of local government. Participants will engage directly with county leaders, staff, and experts to explore the inner workings of county government—from policy-making to departmental structure and key services.
The program is free and open to residents ages 18 and older. Apply today!
